Goldenorb Bandlock GUI

I understand that Rooter Goldenorb has a bandlock gui but cannot figure out why it does not work for me. I have a MC7411 modem which appears to be compatible with this feature according to this: https://www.ofmodemsandmen.com/custom.html In my case, the area where this gui should exist just says &qu...

Re: MC7411 VS MC7511 VS EM7565 on T-Mobile

That's a nice looking antenna however I prefer mimo from two antennas instead of two in one like this. Also, I use 8" pigtails from the modem to LMR400 then to the antennas. Each of these cable lengths from modem to antenna is no more than 6 feet. This antenna looks like it have fairly long LMR...

Re: MC7411 VS MC7511 VS EM7565 on T-Mobile

I am not the wireless bits guy. The 7411 does support band 71 however my antennas are not turned low enough into the 600mhz frequency to utilize it. Most high gain omnis are turned down to about 698mhz and band 71 is down to 600mhz. I am using a Poynting Omni-400 and a Wilson 4G marine Omni 304420. ...

MC7411 VS MC7511 VS EM7565 on T-Mobile

I am looking to upgrade from my existing MC7455. I have looked at the MC7411, MC7511, and the EM7565 modems. Obviously the higher CAT modems should perform better in theory but not necessarily in practice. Can anyone with experience with these modems on T-Mobile please share their thoughts? My setup...

Re: MoFi 4500 Wifi Very Slow

There is a WiFi power level setting on the MoFi, is it set to 100%?? I have tried setting it to various different values from 100% down to 50%. I have also had my laptop only a few feet from the Mofi. Had the same issue when using a wg3526. Connected a secondary router via ethernet and let it do al...

MoFi 4500 Wifi Very Slow

I have a MoFi 4500 V2 with the latest firmware installed. I have not been getting very good download speeds when connected to it and I am always on Wifi so I thought I would try connecting directly via Ethernet. I found that when my laptop is connected directly to the Ethernet port I get download sp...

Re: MOFI 4500 Goldenorb Firmware USB Port Not Working

I am not able to see the modem listed. It is as if the USB port is not working at all with this setup. Even the light on the USB module does not turn on at any point.

Linksys EA3500 with Goldenorb MC7455 QMI Mode

I have a Linksys EA3500 router with GoldenOrb_2020-03-01 ( OpenWrt 18.06.7 ) installed. Connected to the USB port I have a MC7455 modem. When this modem is in MBIM mode it seems to work as expected. When it is in QMI mode the modem is found and even shows that it is connected to the network (T-Mobil...

Re: MOFI 4500 Goldenorb Firmware USB Port Not Working

I am using the modem externally so I can keep the router inside but keep the modem outside near the antennas. This is the easiest setup for me at the moment.

I tried the Wifix version of Goldenorb.

I am trying to test the performance with Goldenorb to see if I can get any advantage.

Re: MC7455 PDP Context in Mofi 4500

I mostly solved this issue. Mofi has a seperate setting for enabling IPV6 which needed to be turned on to get these settings to change.

MOFI 4500 Goldenorb Firmware USB Port Not Working

I have a MOFI 4500 Sim 4 (MC7455) V2 which is essentially a WE826 router. I had been using it with MOFI firmware and the modem plugged in externally to the USB port. This worked alright but I felt that the Mofi firmware had some limitations that I wanted to get around so I flashed Goldenorb to the r...

MC7455 PDP Context in Mofi 4500

I have a Mofi 4500 Sim 4 (MC7455) connected to T-Mobile. This works well but I am having some difficulty with the PDP Context that is added by the Mofi. When I check the status of the modem I see this for the PDP Context 0:[AT+CGDCONT?] 1:[+CGDCONT: 1,"IP","fast.t-mobile.com",&qu...

Re: MOFI 4500 with EM7565 Modem

That is kind of what I thought but wanted to ask around.

How does the Golden Orb firmware compare to the Mofi firnware?

Also, any idea if there is a substantial gain from moving to the EM7565 over the MC7455 when used in the Mofi box running a different firmware?

MOFI 4500 with EM7565 Modem

I have a Mofi 4500 with the SIM4 MC7455 modem. I am running the Mofi firmware instead of Golden Orb. Has anyone tried installing an EM7565 or a Quectel EM12-G into the Mofi using the stock Mofi firmware? First, does the Mofi firmware support a different modem or will I need to switch to Golden Orb? ...
