Re: Has anyone tried the ATT Unlimited Elite plan?

From what I have seen the ATT post paid voice plans, even with hotspot and unlimited data, have only been successfully used in a hotspot device when the imei of the hotspot has been tampered with. I might be misinterpreting what you said, but to clarify, are you noticing that ATT postpaid data plan...

Yes.

Depending on the plan, you might not even get any service on the modem.

Yes.

Re: Visible 5Mbps Throttle workarounds

I just wonder how long until all other providers start following along. Depends on the pricepoints really. On one extreme end of the $100+/mo pricepoint you have people who are afraid of technology and just want a home internet replacement that just works. These plans have to have a hotspot or are ...

Re: I am thinking of starting a CircledIn with members from exclusively here: any interest?

I would be down if it was on VZW. Been wanting to join circled in for a while now, it would be nice if it's from fellow LTE Hackers This is good input and I agree - having LTE Hackers groups would be the reason why I would create one. The only risk would be that our usage patterns would be atypical...

Re: T-Mobile Plans: Prepaid vs. Postpaid

Ok here's a short writeup I could find but I had a more detailed one. It had nothing to do with usage. There were people who were 80 years old who only use a computer to update their benefits once a month who got booted:

Re: Visible 5Mbps Throttle workarounds

My personal opinion is not to f*ck around with Visible. They want people who use WiFi most of the time. Using it for actual dependable internet is something they are actively working against as in they actually have Nomad clusters running realtime detection and shaping algorithms. They are serious a...

Re: T-Mobile Plans: Prepaid vs. Postpaid

Has T-Mobile specifically done this before? Absolutely. I documented it in details about what they did to our small rural community in 2019 here. If you can't find my post, I can search for you. let me know, but here's the gist: Offered us free hotspots for 30 days, gave us the $50 price that beat ...

Re: Has anyone tried the ATT Unlimited Elite plan?

All ATT phone plans are imei locked. Post paid tablet and hotspot plans seem to be the only thing not yet imei locked. My $35 ATT Prepaid iPad SIM can be placed in any device and continue to work. It's been that way for over 3 years now. Are you saying that's an exception? Yes, so far post paid ATT...

Re: All carriers LTE device

The VZ branded Moto E4 that I purchased brand new from WM for $40 and then unlocked for $3 can make and receive calls and text on TMo, ATT withut any hassle. Since it was VZ branded I had to call their CS to let me use a Visible SIM in it but after calling around was able to do so. 4G/LTE works full...

I am thinking of starting a CircledIn with members from exclusively here: any interest?

https://joincircledin.com/ Simple, 2 step process: 1. You pay them directly - I won't know anything about you. They handle CS/Payments/SIM card etc and guarantee no interruption in service even if I mess up (I wont) 2. You get access to the best multiline deals - in exchange for a $5/mo fee plus the...

Does the $20 Postpaid ATT iPAD plan have text/minutes?

Or it's strictly LTE only with NO text/minutes?

Re: Want to use Verizon

I like Quectel modems. Since they can be set up for auto reboot. Some modems like sierra wireless have to have power cycle (turned on and off). Which can't be done automatically. Can you explain this to me a bit more please? Like what's the usecase and why using the router power toggle from GoldenO...
