Yes, I flashed WE826 v2 with vanilla OpenWRT and ROOter without any problems. Always wanted to try WiFiX but it seems this firmware should not be installed on a non The Wireless Haven hardware due to legal reasons.

Hello,
This is the website to check available band combinations for aggregation for your modem:

https://cacombos.com

Search for your device, choose the primary band and examine what bands are (must supported by the tower) available for aggregation, lock to those bands.

I dont know if it still matters but both interfaces use devices with the same MAC address - I believe this is wrong since MAC addresses for all devices must be unique.

Re: Thermostat wont stay connected

Hello, This is interesting. How comfortable are you around computers? I am asking because If I were you then I would install Wireshark and check all traffic coming from/to the thermostat. I would try to sniff the traffic between WE1326 and WRT3200ACM and on the WAN interface of WE1326 and most likel...

Re: Mofi 4500 VPN disables WIFI

Okay. Here's another question for ya. On my phone connected to my pc I get a average pung of 60-70. On my mofi I get a ping of 100-300 and it's all over the place. No idea what's happening. I get better signal and everything. Even tried the same bands and towers. I have two towers less than 2 miles...

Re: Mofi 4500 VPN disables WIFI

Pretty sure the ip passthrough is actually the cause. when ip passthrough is ON then the external IP is passed to the device connected the _specific LAN port: https://support.unlimitedville.com/support/solutions/articles/22000234454-mofi-enabling-ip-passthrough-bridge-mode if you know how to config...

Re: Mofi 4500 VPN disables WIFI

Anyways, back on topic. I'm using PureVPN. I turn it on a bam, mofi 4500 shuts off my wifi. Could you please define "shuts off"? I was thinking maybe it's something with their ip passthrough but it doesn't make sense to me why that would be the case. LAN works fine. The vpn works but I do...

Guys, the problem is that you were advised to follow a certain troubleshooting procedure but nobody provided any substantial feedback allowing to come to any meaningful conclusions. All what I see is just "it does not work for me as well" and it does not help. All that is not a rocket scie...

Just one persons opinion though! Fear the Mofi  Also decided to share my personal option about MOFI. Yes, I also have bad experience with getting answers to technical questions - asked twice or 3 times, no response. But when I was buying the MOFI and was communicating with sales dep. every...

.6mbps <=> My iPhone will pull 10mbps. several things to note: a) Generally speaking the LTE modem in you iPhone(assuming that we are talking about reasonably new version) is light years ahead of the modem installed in MOFI. But at such speed (10 mbps) it is hardly matters, MOFI modem is CAT 6 mode...

Hello, first of all, please start from making a backup of your device. If something goes wrong then you can restore (most of the time with small exceptions) the configuration of your MOFI in 37 seconds. *** EVERYTHING SHOULD START FROM MAKING A BACKUP ********** Another user has reported that settin...

Hello, Sorry, did not see your question: >What does that tell us? It tells us that your computers ask for the domain name resolution (google) and gets the correct IP address. hello, Just a quick note - to see if Carrier Aggregation works you need to download something substantial or run a speedtest https://speedof.me/ http://speedtest.att.com/speedtest/ https://www.speedtest.net/ it will test the download speed don't be surprised if it consumes between 100-800 MB (it dep...

When I log in to the Mofi control panel once things have gone down, and try to do the "Internet connection test" from the main screen it does indeed fail. However, when I go to System>>Diagnostics, and do things like run a ping test to openwrt.org or do a traceroute, they work and return ...

Re: Losing constant Internet connection on Mofi 4500 (and my mind)

Hi, Another owner of MOFI4500 4GXeLTE SIM4COMBO is here. The fact that you cannot get access to a webserver using HTTP _but at the same time you can use previously initialized TCP/IP connection tells us that most likely there is a problem with DNS (domain name resolution). This is when you can ping ...

Re: 1000/2000 mW USB WiFi adapters

2W WiFi is not unusual made by Chinese companies for domestic use only which sometimes find their way across the world. This's interesting. Are there 2W-3W 2.4GHz receiver/transmitter/bridge/extender/booster/etc on the market? Of course, they are (and probably even more powerful) used for drones, b...

1000/2000 mW USB WiFi adapters

Hi, not sure if this is the best place for this topic but anyway. Some people were talking on the forum about mighty powerful WiFi - here it goes. I was looking for a USB WiFi adapter working with older Linux kernels and those using Ralink chipset seem to fit the bill. Checked Amazon, found several:...

Re: is WE826-T2 really outperformed by mini $12 router?

I should respectfully disagree about VPN in general - it was used in the past, is being used now, will be used in future. Nowadays virtually all sites are using https connection, and by using a VPN you're just double encrypting the connection, which is an overkill in my opinion (both in terms of cos...

It was great before "https", but I just don't see it that useful anymore... just my 2cents. I use it when I travel abroad. One reason is to use VPN while is in a different country is to access my local network (documents, the printer, the camera to check the cat etc) in simple and secure ...

Re: Do I need to go with a custom built router or should just get MOFI 4500?

One way to set up a custom DDNS would be to use cron. MOFI makes it very easy - go Advanced/System/Scheduled Tasks and add the following line */5 * * * * /usr/sbin/xxxx.sh which means - run the script xxxx.sh located in /usr/sbin every 5 minutes. Don't forget - after you copied to MOFI (you can crea...

Re: is WE826-T2 really outperformed by mini $12 router? (VPN speed test)

Over last few days I was playing with setting up OpenVPN on different devices. I am not using a commercial VPN provider (in my view it has very limited usage and people normally greatly overestimate the benefits of using a third part VPN provider but this is a different story). For tests I used a Qo...

I connected both We and GL to my FIOS 150 up /120 down line, set both 2.4 GHz radios to the same channel and began running speed tests and simply using them (but not simultaneously) in real life from different client. We (MOFI in my case) slightly wins because ( I think) GL uses 2 built in antennas ...

MOFI4500 has an interesting option "USB Tethering for phone SIMs" I am not sure how and/or how well it works, but the predefined config contains 7 APN names plus "Auto", "Select Default Profile". The documentation says nothing about this option but if one wants/needs to...
