I just did a chat session with tmobile and told the rep someone is giving me an old Tmobile phone. It was no big deal for them to not have the IMEI. I should have my sim and new phone number in a couple of days.

Matt - I think that was the statement he gave to the tmobile rep to get them to send a sim card without having to tell them the IMEI number.

Hello, Those T-Mobile test drives are locked to the device that it comes with. Have hooked up several T-Mobile phone sim cards in these routers. They work. I also tried a Tmobile test drive hotspot and was unable to get it working in an EM7565. It acted like it got deregistered but resolved itself when putting the sim back in the hotspot.

The page worked for me last night but my EM7565 is not eligible per Matt's notes above and it being a data only device.

I'm in a simular situation with a router running goldenorb and a EM7565 modem but I'm still looking for a service to use with this setup. What hasn't worked for me is the Verizon sim from my phone or the sim from a Tmobile hotspot test drive. I would really like to get a plan that is reasonably pric...

I just checked the IMEI from my EM7565 on Cricket and this is no longer the case.
