Re: T-Mobile Loss of Internet but Modem is saying connected

A little update, after just over a month I'm noticing infrequent disconnects again. Usually happening at peak times or 3am 2-3 times a week. Something I've learned that isn't completely obvious is that your SINR needs to be POSITIVE for a stable connection. Seeing a negative dB measurement is fairly...

Re: T-Mobile Loss of Internet but Modem is saying connected

I think I've figured out my issue. I'd previously locked to bands n25 & n41. I noticed I'd occasionally get 200+Mbps but it was extremely unstable. When it happened the modem was connecting to n41 with 2 -> -2 SNR whereas on n25 my SNR is 14+ as long as I'm not saturating the connection. So I ch...

Re: T-Mobile Loss of Internet but Modem is saying connected

I get this error whenever the disconnect happens AT+QENG="servingcell" +QENG: "servingcell","NOCONN","NR5G-SA","FDD", 310,260,187E65017,869,770800,389090,25,1,-96,-11,19,0,- OK I could probably work out a script that would automatically reset the mod...

Re: T-Mobile Loss of Internet but Modem is saying connected

If i use alot of data quickly, say 3 streams going at once, my internet will stop but would still say its connected. This is the only thing I can say consistently causes the dropout and I have to do it during peak times. Torrenting multiple large files early in the morning or throughout the day is ...

Re: T-Mobile Loss of Internet but Modem is saying connected

I believe after everything I have done, I think its a conflict with the Quectel Modem and the T-mobile towers. It's not explicitly the Quectel Modems, I had the same problem with the Sierra wireless em7565. My guess is something in the software that controls the modem. Need to do some more digging....

Re: T-Mobile Loss of Internet but Modem is saying connected

A little update, I've just had to reboot the modem twice tonight using a WE1326 and an external enclosure. Odd how it worked fine for almost a week with no issues now I'm getting the same problem. I'm gonna completely disable the wifi on it and see if it happens again. So when you had to reboot it,...

Re: T-Mobile Loss of Internet but Modem is saying connected

Setting protocol type to ipv4 and enabling connection monitoring seemingly fixed the problem for me. I'm also on a postpaid phone sim.

Re: EM7565 Dropping Internet on T-Mobile

I'm a little late here, but for those who don't know this is a common problem with T-mobile's network. Here's another topic on the exact same issue. https://wirelessjoint.com/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=1407 I even get this problem when tethered to my android phone. Its a fairly consistent 3-4 hours be...

Re: WG3526 EM7565 T-MOBILE disconnecting every 3 hours

Same problem with my setup since I switched to TMobile prepaid in may, but there's no specific time frame. Some days it runs without any problems, other days I'm rebooting it every 30 minutes. I've noticed the SNR dropping and RRC goes idle. I've got a sim with a much older prepaid plan in my Androi...

Re: 26 dBi ultra wide-band parabolic grid antenna

What does that mean? Like it's an LDPA antenna that uses the grid to scavenge signal? Do you know a lot about these antennas? I'm always trying to learn more. Esplain it at me if you have time. Please. :) That's my guess, and I've seen LPDAs on PCBs. I'm new to this myself. It is a dipole. Nothing ...

Re: 26 dBi ultra wide-band parabolic grid antenna

Does anyone have a picture of the Ultragain 26 horn disassembled? I'm willing to bet this is just a printed ldpa with a parabolic grid.

Re: PSA: AT&T Doing away with $35 iPad Unlimited.

Got axed from the dataconnect plan last weekend. Called at&t support and they told me I wasn't allowed to use a modem, I told them I didn't have one that the sim was in a tablet and they cut it back on. Fast forward to this morning, I get a call from the "fraud" department saying "...

Re: WE826 | WG3526 | WE3926 | WE1326 | WE1026 - Firmware Recovery Mode

Something not mentioned here is that the bootloader runs on http and not https. Most cases luci-ssl is enabled and neither chrome or firefox will switch between them automagically. If you're getting pings from the router but can't access luci or the bootloader check the address bar and make sure you...

Ah so you're just setting up QOS on the one AP right? That's pretty clever as long as they don't know there are other SSID's.

A trick I used was to setup a mac filter and just disable whoever was causing the problem. "I was only on like two websites", She said. "No, you've been on facetime with your boyfriend while watching netflix all day, leaving the other three of us 100KBps while I'm trying to work. You'...

Re: New to this still.

Short answer no,
Long answer is you'd need a custom QOS script compatible with whatever software your router is running. So unless you're well versed in scripting it's not going to be easy.

I'm dealing with a similar issue. Package management on a router was too good to be true as I've learned. These vpn packages need to be compiled into the rom for them to work properly. I'm working on an updated version of the "modem manager" firmware for the we826 that includes all the VPN...

Jim I very much appreciate your responses. Is your developer building these "modem manager" images? I'd like to message the creator of them if at all possible and find out what's required in building a similar image. With the packages available, it's not possible without much further custo...

It didn't function at all in the openwrt master branch, but I've got it working in v18.06.4. I've harvested the ModemScripts directory from the build you've linked in the other subforum but I haven't figured out how to get it to compile into the image. Any tips?
