NEXQ6GO firmware is loaded with its own firmware. There is no updated version yet

The modem inside is a Telit LM960 modem if I recall correctly. It is'nt 5G ready as far as I know. For the AT commands you'll have to go with those. I';m fairly certain the ATTERM is a function of the router and will likely work fine with that modem. I would go with a full set of antennas, 4 matched...

QMI vs MBIM is kind of a moot issue. Go with what works.

It seems to be a silent proxy server issue they've caused. Basically certain major http ports, like 80, just stop transmitting. A simple reset fixes it. You can also force the modem to change bands to fix it.

The site has been completely moved to another server host. Its likely some users and posts have been lost.

I think your issue will be resolved if you place the SIM card in the slot on the side of the router, not in the adapter. This is how mine is setup.

Good call to mirror your antennas. I always recommend matched pairs, and always 2 where 2 can be afforded and used. 4 if you get all fancy with a high end modem.

The RM500Q-AE is what you want for 5G imo. Its the NSA version I've recently been told by user BillA. I would wait for the Quectel EM160. Its cat 16 4G with 4x4 MIMO.

If you just want a cheap LTE modem that does the job, then look at teh Quectel EP06, or some SIMCOM equivilents.

I dont use boosters, but I think you are correct. The booster just amplifies along a particular frequency.

A high gain directional antenna should do the same, and with cleaner signal, for cheaper. Especially if for data only.

I would guess 65 or 66. Set it and check to see if your data is counting as hotspot data or not. Dont forget the ipv6 'ttl' (HL)

Under Network-->Firewall-->Custom TTL settings

Its not making it look like a cell phone, its just changing the TTL, as that is the current way some carriers see the traffic as hotspot or on device data.

The latest update says the special antenna pigtails from IPEX will take 6-8 weeks to be made and shipped. Mid to late January is what is being quoted.
This is a brand new product line and is going to take much longer than other items to get manufactured and procured.

100% yes. It happens, and even can be there one day and gone the next.

Changing to ECM mode sometimes requires you to SSH in and run AT commands manually, especially to change it back to QMI or MBIM. Try that one as a last ditch effort.

I think Verizon likes when the router and modem communicate in MBIM, though it really shouldn't matter.

When it works it works really well. It seems to reconnect, when connection lost or going mobile, very fast in ECM mode.

I can confirm as well. Band 41, 25, and 26 in some areas are straight GONE, or neutered. It may come back, but Tmobile is wreaking havoc on the Sprint networks. You should get on Sprints online chat feature for tech support and ask for the status of your tower.

The mode protocol should just be for the modem to router communication but somehow it also affects the cell network registration. They may have changed the APN to x.ispsn, which is ipv6 only and a major arse pain. Call and ask for the APN that SIM is provisioned to.

T mobile is likely the easiest for getting on the network with your own gear. Verizon is a pain, but not un-doable. I always add a dedicated WiFi access point or mesh system that plugs in via ethernet to the router, and turn off the routers wifi radios to give full power to the modem. Its really the best way in my opinion.

It should be fine to use an adapter, but I would get a usb to m.2 direct adapter.
