Re: Recommended modem and router for U.S. Cellular / Verizon

Hey, welcome! Grab the WG3626-P router with a Quectel EM12G, or Sierra EM7565 modem. Id say the Sierra if you wanted a random decision maker. https://thewirelesshaven.com/product-category/modems/ Its a great combo that can pull great speeds without breaking the bank. This listing has the right parts...

Re: Standalone amplifiers, do they exist? Going for tmobile - 7.2 miles from tower, elevation loss of 50ft.

Got to make sure your antennas get the frequency you are wanting to pull in. Band 2 is 1900 MhZ I believe. I have had good luck with mimo parabolic and longer runs on cable for higher frequency bands. The dbi gain is higher on those. The Wireless Haven did sell these at one time. Here is a long post...

Re: Standalone amplifiers, do they exist? Going for tmobile - 7.2 miles from tower, elevation loss of 50ft.

Would start out simple and add complexity as needed, 7miles is not that hard to get a signal

Here is another example of a PoE setup

Re: Standalone amplifiers, do they exist? Going for tmobile - 7.2 miles from tower, elevation loss of 50ft.

PoE.png The long cable runs make me a little nervous there is a cost in loss signal and a $$cost. Would think about a PoE setup. Getting a modem and a SIM working would be Step-1. Antennas & cable runs can be a little tricky. For CA with 2x2 or 4x4 and long cable runs can get messy :o See what ...

Re: T-Mobile Gateway. 7.5 miles from tower. What Antenna?

You will find RM500Q-AE antenna port mapping shows lower bands only available on ports 1 and 2. See my first couple posts in this thread for details. Also, see those posts for the possible ENDC combinations. The trick is the primary ports are 1 and 2 and they are also the lower band ports so both th...

Re: T-mobile home internet - external antennas

I agree with cagordon1985. I also have the 4x4 MIMO panel you referenced. Even though it does cover almost every sub 6ghz frequency, it doesn't seem to give as much gain as might be needed in the n71 lower frequency. Depending on the distance to the tower and interference you might be good with the ...

Re: T-Mobile Gateway. 7.5 miles from tower. What Antenna?

Low band (B71) only antennas as well as a High Band (B46) specific antennas are in the works. As well as other goodies, but dev, testing, and manufacturing contracts takes so dang long.

Re: WG1608 V4 + EM160R-GL not connecting to internet

Hi again Didney! Well, your commands were close to totally succesfull in my case and now I have internet using both lan and wifi, to be honest through wifi I am seen the 5Ghz net but I am not been able to see the 2.4Ghz (how could I solve this?). So tyvm! WG1608 routers are quite finicky with WiFi,...

Re: T-mobile home internet - external antennas

I have seen a few people on our facebook group that refute that and say they have been using as much as they want without getting shut down, on US Mobiles Verizon plan. I've also heard the opposite on reddit, so its hard to say. Good thing is its prepaid and no risk of credit damage from closed and ...

Re: T-mobile home internet - external antennas

Having an issue with my feeder horn. One side is 12dB lower... The two yagis and one side of the parabolic are reading 89-91dB... the other side of parabolic is reading 103dB... Hello, How is the feeder horn orientation Polarization vectors pointing? Where is the vertical arrow pointing? From your ...

Re: T-mobile home internet - external antennas

Typically angled at 45 haa been prominent. Your trying to match the polarization of the tower, and I think X pol is the most common. + Pol will work of coarse, but again X seems most common.

Re: MIMO and Yagi mounting

I've opened up some of the different 2x2 and 4x4 mimo flat panels and am SUPER confused how that even works. lol. They are way close and make zero sense to me on how they operate/radiate. I cant even tell how they polarize them. To be honest I've never looked it up, which would solve my ignorance on...

Re: T-mobile home internet - external antennas

Also the decent results for T-Mobile have been on a RM502Q-AE AT&T best results have been with EM160R-GL. I will get to test a RM500Q-AE this week in a WG3526-P, without the 50' coax runs. Been waiting forever for CATV enclosures, cable glands and other stuff from China. (I hope the WG3526 MPCI...
