Re: MoFi 4500 Wifi Very Slow

A dedicated wifi AP, like the ubiquiti UAP-AC-LITE-US, only uses max 20W during full load. Might not be as cheap, but the wifi throughput is top notch.

I use dedicated access points for my wifi. WAY simpler, and no dual router NAT to turn off and deal with.

Re: WG3526 EM7565 T-MOBILE disconnecting every 3 hours

There seems to be some funky stuff going on with the Tmobile network lately. For about a month now I've been noticing some random disconnects on both routers and phones (regardless if tethered or not). I've talked to several users around the country, and looks like it's happening just about everywhe...

Re: Question about rural setup + upload speeds

After you throw a few of the "Cheap" one's in the trash you rethink the cost of ownership. Buy once, cry once  100%!!! My rule is that any thing that gets high-usage (or has lots of moving parts) is definitely worth investing in. If only to spare me having to research / shop all over...

Re: Question about rural setup + upload speeds

If on android I use either LTE discovery, network cell info lite or cellmapper. They are all in playstore and all free. More a matter of whoch interface you find easiest to use.

Re: Advice, New Rural user with a Mofi 5500 - Best Plan?

If you want unlimited Verizon service the best choice is Visible. Not a fly-by-night - 100% owned and operated by Verizon. It's Verizon's test for putting all voice calls through VoIP. Unlimited, uncapped Verizon service for $40/mo. I've been using their sim in my MOFI 4500 for years - works great! ...

Re: Nighthawk M5 MR5100

The TTL trick will not work with AT&T :ugeek: To answer your questions, no using the GUI for the modem there is no way to change TTL or Band Lock I have seen it done with the command line but have to do every time you reboot the modem. Trust but verify what I am saying this is based on a M1 You...

Re: Gl-X750v2 only connects at 3G with AT&T prepaid plan

99% of the time you get a 3G only connection it's because the APN is wrong. Make sure it's set to: broadband

Re: MOFI 4500 Timed out

If you can't get it, try to flash the firmware, go to mofi website and download the firmware for V3. Unplug for 60 seconds, keep holding reset button, plug in. Keep holding reset until the Internet globe light, second light, starts blinking slowly. Go to your PC LAN, change adapter settings, {right ...

Re: Netgear MR1100 "Mobile Broadband Disconnected"....

They block it after it catches their eye, you need to make it look like a phone using phone data and not a hotpot, specifically a M1, then it can run on the network undetected.

Re: please help with my internet m1100 nighthawk signal

If you want good advice you need to give more detail. Those of us willing to help can not see what your setup is. Working with these things require being methodical. From the little information you provide all I can glean is your TS-9 connectors are no good. They should not just fall out. In my M1 t...

Re: Building Home WI-FI

Welcome! You could add an antenna to the Tmobile home internet. This one is perfect as it has all 4 antenna ports: https://thewirelesshaven.com/shop/antennas/outdoor/outdoor-cellular/mimo-directional-panel/700-3800mhz-cellular-8dbi-directional-4x4-mimo-antenna-%c2%b1-45-n-female-connectors/ For ATT,...

Re: Building Home WI-FI

I suggest before buying anything that you do a lot of research. For one is to understand the terms so that confusion is minimized. It also can save you money in the end. You might set up a home Wi-Fi but that is simply a short range setup from a wireless router at your home. It does not supply you a...

Re: Building Home WI-FI

In situations like yours I think the ultimate goal would be to get an external antenna up as high as you possibly can. Best bet is above the tree line with direct line of site to the tower. In determining which antenna I would start with the provider and cellmapper. Use cellmapper to get an idea of ...

Re: MoFi 4500, 2 antenna, no aggregation

For aggregation or improving SINR. The modem can use the signal from all antenna ports to improve the overall signal to interference plus noise ratio (SINR). My bet is if you disconnected the diversity antenna and watched your SINR levels you would find that it isn't as good as it was which ultimate...
