Re: Mofi 4500, strange yagi antenna results

You need cables that are rated at 50 Ohm. Typically LMR200 is ok up to 20'; I prefer no more than 10'. LMR400 cables are decent up to 50'. BUT the shorter the better. I would buy LMR400 cables for 5 feet to be honest. thewirelesshaven.com has cables, and can get custom cables made for you as well. M...

Re: Mofi 4500, strange yagi antenna results

Need this exact stats with roof and antennas in same post. Yes you said you have stronger signal but did you quality go bad? That post above is with the router on the roof with standard antennas. Ill do a couple more tests tomorrow with different antenna setups and post results. And, yes stronger s...

Re: mofi4500 and verizon Ipad sim

Does anyone sell all of that you described already assembled and ready to go for my Verizon sim? Danny No doubt, its a lot to take in. A ye...

Re: RV Internet setup needed for work

Do you have any suggestions that is affordable, works great, and will last me for a bit? I would suggest getting the most you can possibly get out of the Mofi and then reassess. You will learn a lot as you gain experience with it and build your knowledge base. You will then be in a better position ...

Re: Need a modem for Verizon Jetpack pUDP

You can upgrade to more, but generally do dont see more than 12V 4A power supplies for these. That said, upwards of POE++ 48V-78W poe injectors like: https://t...

Re: EM7411 w/ Band 71 worth it?

It depends on your location, where I am at its a strong band and with the 7411, I'm seeing it carrier aggregate with Band 2 and 66 giving it quite a boost. I have noticed better tree/forest penetration on band 71 than band 12. Also I have found Band 12 to always be saturated due to the number of pho...

Re: Speeds: Verizon iPad Unlimited SIM vs. MVNO

Sure sounds like you have it narrowed down to congestion fore sure. I've used many of the MVNO's along with prepaid and postpaid accounts with the 3 main carriers but never the vzw tablet plan. I do have vzw prepaid line but honestly i've never noticed any throttling on any of them at my location. T...

Re: Speeds: Verizon iPad Unlimited SIM vs. MVNO

If you not ever seeing the "congestion" on the phone but are seeing it on the modem device then verizon is likely seeing your plan as a tethered data type plan. Phones use a different data type unless of course they are tethered. In THEORY changing the ttl should make your modem device loo...
