Re: Laptop WWAN slot

Your router has Goldenorb firmware, your modem has Sierra firmware.

To work in your laptop directly via pci port you will likely need change the module from usb mode to pci

Re: Need help change TTL, MTU and MSS in WiFiX

Using TTL and HL mamgles on ATT, that match Tmo, doesn't seem to have a negative effect on the ATT connection.

I've not heard of any data count difference betwern the two, though the non BROADBAND APNs seem to require imei matching to account registered device.

Re: AT&T Unlimited Elite (non-prepaid) 5x Lines - Game/Content Creation Internet

I would be interested in learning from you a different usecase I have in mind - instead of aggregating 5-6 LTE connections, I want to efficiently broadcast them over different APs from the same router: On hosting multiple modems via USB3 adapters, I was wondering if it could be possible to have ded...

Re: Wireguard on ROOter?

That's impressive. Is the Net10/AT&T plan $25 per month or $50 per month? It's $50 https://www.net10wireless.com/serviceplan. Sorry, I might have been a bit ambiguous there. I've been testing the new router / modem / WireGuard setup with Net10. I only need it when I'm in the RV so I don't want ...

Re: Does the $20 Postpaid ATT iPAD plan have text/minutes?

I think the answer is no but I can't tell for sure purely about the plan. I have this plan in an AT&T branded Samsung S5e tablet which I bought as an "open box" on eBay about a year ago. It has no phone or text app so no way to make an outgoing call. I don't know what would happen if I...

Re: Wireguard on ROOter?

I haven't tried Simple Mobile. I think they're T-Mobile. The Poynting antenna on my RV doesn't do band 71 so I've been sticking with AT&T and Verizon. I haven't tried it but I guess Cricket is certainly an option.

Re: EC25-AF

The EC25AF will in fact work after the 3G sunset as long as you set each modem to "Data Centric" and have it's latest firmware. Wether or not ATT themselves allow the imei of the modems direct to account is a different subject. What do you use this particular setup for? Mass texting, or ot...

Re: EC25-AF

The EC25AF and EC25AFX are both supported, based on the bands, but the firmware may or may not be certified. Though it usually doesn't matter unless the carrier says yea or nay to the imei. The only difference between the AF and AFX is the AFX doesn't support voice. Data only. I have personally used...

Re: Wireguard on ROOter?

Simple Mobile is T-Mobile. They also work in other devices than phones. Think their unlimited plan is around the $50 mark. Not sure exact devices they work in but I've moved mine around quite a few times. They use their own APN portal "simple" but I don't care for the extra MVNO hops or an...

Looking for hardware and OS recommendations for custom setup

So up until now I have been using a mofi4500 and then 5500 for my travel internet. And these have worked fine for the most part, but I'm at a point where I can't rely on just a single network, and need to do bonding. Today my setup is 2 em7690's in usb3.0 to m.2 enclosures, each with 4 antenna's. An...

Re: Wireguard on ROOter?

After analyzing the code in /usr/lib/wirequard, I found the desired config file in /www/package/wg.conf and wgconf.tar.gz which are created by conf.sh. I had to edit the wg.conf file to get my android phone to accept it (lines beginning with '---' need to be commented). Although the phone attempts t...

Re: $20 ATT Postpaid iPad plan fit for our displaced Ukranian community members?

Why don't you use the old $5 a month data flash for vzw service? it had voice and text on it, I think it still works, have not tried it in a long time but the last time I did it still worked.

Re: AT&T shutoff of 3G February 2022 may affect you.

... So - has AT&T shut down its 3G network on February 2022 or it's delayed to April? Yes it has. Although not all 3G is shutdown what with cooperative agreements with the other carriers and the necessity to replace equipment. What happens when they shutdown later this year is the next point of...
