I've never had that particular modem but I use a pair of magnifying glasses and a lot of patience. I never find it easy though. It is extremely frustrating. There ought to be a device invented that will do the job. Or the process simplified by the manufacturers by using larger connectors.

The problem is the Chinese manufacturers are choosing chips not supported by openWRT. If there is no official image for openWRT, Rooter generally wont spend time on making an image. Many of these IPQ chips have come out over the last few years, the Chinese manufacturers modify their 2015 toolchains...

MC7455 adapter

I own a router that has a modem socket but my MC7455 won't fit. Is there any kind of adapter that can convert the socket to PCIE.
