Re: Make This Better?

You've lost 4.4 dBi on your cables alone. That makes a net gain of maybe 1-2dBi over stock antennas. Upgrading to LMR400 will get you back 2.1 dBi. If you put the modem and router up on the pole you could get most all of it back.

Your number one focus should be signal clarity and strength.

Re: Orbi LBR20 How-To / Megathread

Has anyone experienced a speed drop using AT&T? I'm on the $20 Ipad tablet plan using latest Voxel and magic and usually get 75-135 download on speed test but tonight only 25-30. Currently it's connected to band 14 but usually connects to band 66. I've tried rebooting several times hoping to con...

Re: Calyx Sprint/T mobile device and donation

My specific use case is different but our needs are similar. Here is what I do: I have a calyx membership for my main connection. This comes with a Sprint/t-mobile sim with a device. And then I am in a Visible group with $25/mo internet. This runs on Verizon’s network. Tethering on my account is lim...

Re: Calyx Sprint/T mobile device and donation

Also, I’ve been using calyx for 2 years now and can confirm that it is truly unlimited and without throttling (other than normal network deprioritization).

Re: T-Mobile Home Internet has hidden MHF4 connectors for external antennas?

I can't seem to get the speeds I 'should' have out of my setup so I'm not a good source for speedtests with my Tmo setup, however, I can say I have test many antennas and these are the best I have found for that lower 600mhz band. My system is down at the moment so I can't test but if I remember cor...

Re: Wilson Antennas

I use the b66 with ca to b66 as my main setup. I have my bands locked to 66 only. What the CAA part does is as follows: The initial connection to band 66 in my setup is either 20mhz or 10 mhz seems to depend on something on the tower side that I cannot control. The CAA kicks in when the tower deems ...

Re: EM12-G: MIMO vs CA

For the EM12

AT+QRSRP
+QRSRP: -105,-107,-140,-140

First number is your primary antenna, the 2nd is your diversity antenna.

Re: Visible TTL mangling - a poor noob down on his luck

Surprisingly, this doesn't get mentioned much but the TTL modifications need to have the correct interface or its really not doing much of anything. In your case the device talking to the internet is the MR1100. The MR1100 is connected to the routers WAN port (eth0.2). Since you are using it in this...

Re: Visible Wireless Sim work??

I have a phone USB tethered to an AR750S, and as long as I'm not being deprioritized I pull ~15Mb/s, sometimes even as high as 50mb/s late at night. While deprioritized though it can drop as low as 1-3mb/s. For example, there was about an hour this past Wednesday where max DL was ~300kb/s , but that...

Re: RV Internet setup needed for work

Hi All, New here and also not the most tech savvy. Interested in the solutions you all put forth on this topic! If you are lucky to get T-Mobile it could fit your needs. I had a friend that was not in the service area. He put his name on the waiting list, and got a phone call two days later that TM...
